About me
Hi & welcome to There and Bark Again! Animals have been a part of my life since the very beginning, I was raised with a wide range of species, including finches, budgies, poultry, cats, dogs, horses, sheep, goats, waterfowl, small furries & fish.
In 2013 I gained my BSc (Hons) in Animal Science & Welfare. After this I worked at an animal sanctuary & then at the animal care unit of my local agricultural college, where I cared for a wide range of companion species, aquatics, exotics, poultry, livestock & even a couple of emus! I am passionate about animal welfare & am especially interested in ethology & behaviour & the positive impact that appropriate enrichment & opportunities can have on the wellbeing of our companion species. I decided to set up There and Bark Again to provide a range of pet services, an opportunity for dogs to have adventures & for caregivers to have peace of mind while they're at work, away or on holiday.
Alongside There and Bark Again I also volunteer for The Animal Team, doing homechecks for prospective companion animal adopters in my local area, I have also started helping with the occasional behavioural assessment for dogs being relinquished to rescues. In my spare time I like reading, gardening, wildlife, listening to music, occasional crafting & looking after my furry family. I currently share my life & home with 4 dogs, 5 cats, 2 bunnies, 5 hens, a mischief of fancy rats & a corn snake.
